Black Clover Season 2 Is Finally Coming And It Might Just Be This October

After five long years of waiting, Black Clover fans are about to get what they've been asking for. Back in 2021, the anime went on an extended hiatus after Episode 170, leaving the story unfinished right in the middle of one of its most gripping arcs. It seemed like the series might simply fade away, but then the announcements started coming out, and the hype has been building from there. And now, with a 2026 premiere date all but assured and the chances of the show debuting in October looking more and more likely according to insider reports, the countdown is officially underway.

The official return was confirmed at the Black Clover stage event at Jump Festa 2026, where a new teaser trailer and key visual were unveiled.And if the trailer is anything to go by, it seems that this is not the same old Black Clover that we have grown to know and love. The latest trailer for the series has shown that the animation has definitely improved, with some great action sequences and a visual style that is a real step up from some of the worse animation that fans had to endure in the original series.

As for what’s actually coming story-wise, Season 2 is picking up right where things left off, and the source material is some of the best that Yuki Tabata has ever written. The season will go all-in on the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc, which is a full-scale war story about the rise of the Dark Triad, a trio of powerful villains who derive their power from devils, and how Asta, Yuno, and the Magic Knights are pushed to the absolute limit.

On the production side, everything points toward this being a passion project done right. Studio Pierrot is returning to animate the new season, and the original voice cast will be reprising their roles. There are also rumors circulating that the series may take on the form of a seasonal anime in the future, which will give the team the time and resources they need to focus on quality over speed, something fans have been begging for.

So when exactly can you watch it? Studio Pierrot confirmed a 2026 target at Jump Festa but didn't lock in a specific month however, insider reports have pointed toward a Fall 2026 window, which would place the premiere somewhere between October and December.
