Highguard Brings Arcane Gunplay and High-Stakes PvP Raids to Steam in January 2026
Highguard is apparently the new shooter everyone will be talking about come 2026. And it’s coming from the same minds behind Apex Legends and Titanfall — so yeah, it’s a definite interest grabber. Developed by Wildlight Entertainment, Inc., Highguard is a free-to-play PvP raid game scheduled to launch on January 26, 2026, on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S consoles. You play as Wardens who basically possess magic as gunfighters, riding, battling, and then raiding some mythical region as a team.
The gameplay revolves around crew fights as they compete and fight for control of important targets such as the strong Shieldbreaker. The fight and conquer approach allows the crews to initiate serious raids as they invade and destroy hostile territories, hence targeting enemy bases. The format of this pc game is aimed at improving upon regular PvP fights that are limited and consist of mere deathmatches. With cross-platform play and cross-progression support available on all platforms, Wildlight aims at providing a united competitive scene right from the start.
Wildlight Entertainment is a fairly new game developer, founded by some seasoned professionals who have already worked on massive shooting games before. Now, they have made Highguard, which incorporates what they have learned from their previous successful shooting games into something that has smooth fighting, intelligent goals, and cool graphics. Highguard will be released in January, and many people have already begun speculating about it and how it can revolutionize what we look for in a shooting game in 2026.
