Marvel Rivals Season 6 Review: Deadpool Steals the Show
Season 6 is a blast! It is titled “Night at the Museum,” and in my opinion, it is definitely the most enjoyable update we’ve gotten so far. Because it comes with so much character and a great deal of chaos, not to mention a number of changes to gameplay and progression, Season 6 is definitely a vastly different experience for everyone that is playing for fun or playing for the best score possible.
Deadpool is definitely the star of the show, and there is no doubt that he lives up to every bit of hype that has been built up around him. Deadpool is unlike any other character that is present in the game because he has not only one or two but three forms that he changes into during a battle: Duelist, Vanguard, and Strategist. This is so much fun because one moment he is fighting off others, and the next he is covering and supporting other players or helping them out.
The map for season 6 has a nice redesign, and so it’s different for matches now. The map layout works well and includes some close-range areas and some long-range areas to force players to come up with different strategies and play together. There are also a few changes to team powers and various minor changes to have it all play smoothly. These are not big changes but are effective when mixed all together.
Another great aspect about this season is what is yet to come. Elsa Bloodstone will make an appearance towards the end of the season, providing a new element for players who may have been interested but held off for the release. Although not all of her content has been showcased, a darker monster-hunting kind of element seems to be on the horizon.
Overall, Marvel Rivals Season 6 gets everything just right to balance out fun and game play. Deadpool adds a welcome twist to all of it, and all of the new content ensures that all of your matches feel fresh. If you’re interested in playing because of your love for the characters, or maybe for your love of action-packed game play, or perhaps for your interest in purely crazily fun superhero action, trust me when I tell you: Season 6 has you covered.
