The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ game achieves its lovely hand-drawn animation to great effect. It has very fluid character movements and lovely backgrounds that evoke the old animated movies such as Snow White. Cheerful colors transition to dark, eerie figures, thus indicating the change of the past bright memories into the scary ones. The orchestral score of Luca Balboni is filled with scary tunes that really jumps, and the touching reveal, is greatly helped by it. The terrific voice acting, in particular, Elsie Lovelock as Lana, goes a long way in bringing the characters' interaction in the stories to life in the cutscenes. The narrative deals with such heavy issues as the loss of a loved one, bullying, loneliness, and the suffragette movement, to which it responds with an unexpected profundity, especially in its later episodes. It, in fact, forms a very intimate personal coming-of-age story which is still with you after the game has ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌finished.
