Code Vein II is like going back home, but everything's been given a new edge, especially if you enjoyed the first game's anime-inspired Souls-like gameplay. From the get-go, you can tell that the game is aware of what it's doing, and that's to give you a cool-looking experience with fast and flexible gameplay. I think most fans are probably wondering one thing: is Code Vein II worth the $69 price tag? 99 bucks? Well, after playing around with its major gameplay mechanics, I'd say that the sequel is really trying to do more this time around, especially in terms of customization and gameplay driven by its characters.

I think one of the coolest things about Code Vein II is, without a doubt, the new build system. You can really mess around with your weapons and skills, getting them just right to suit your fighting style. You're not forced to stick to one way of playing, and you can really mess around, switching your skills whenever you want, and really dial in your build, whether you like to be aggressive, defensive, a bit of both, and so on. This is really nice, as you can play it over and over, and every time, it's a bit different. It's especially nice if you like to really dig in and find out the best way to play.

Code Vein II Review: Is It Worth $69.99? Here’s What You Need to Know

Code Vein II really takes what made the first one good and makes it even better. It improves upon what made the first one so good, and the interactions between characters are much more robust, and the fighting is much more refined. It's also worth noting that, at a price point of $69.99, it really wants to be considered a top-tier action RPG. What really makes it a great choice, though, if you're a fan of a hard RPG, especially an anime-style one, is that there are a lot of ways to mix things up and really express your individuality, and the story is really in-depth. If you're a fan of a Souls-like RPG but want a bit more leeway to express your individuality, then Code Vein II is definitely worth looking into.
