Star Trek: Shadow Frontier Coming in 2027 to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S

Paramount Games Studio and Bloober Team have officially announced Star Trek: Shadow Frontier, a psychological horror adventure game inspired by the legendary Star Trek universe. The game is planned for release in 2027 on Pc, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It will be a new take on Star Trek games providing thriller, mystery, and psychological horror elements. The news was shared with the fans during gaming exhibitions on June 6 2026 presenting them a gloomy side of the space frontier.

This narrative revolves around Ro Laren, who is a beloved Bajoran officer by the Star Trek: The Next Generation fans. Ro receiving a distress signal after which she crashes on an unfamiliar world that is described as large spaceship graveyard. In her quest for survivors and unveiling the secrets of the planet, players will encounter hostile settings, eerie finds, and various dangers that will test their perception and reality. Star Trek aficionados who have been around for a while will appreciate the return of Michelle Forbes as Ro Laren adding to the genuineness and continuity of the series.

Developer Bloober Team is most recognized for its atmospheric horror games, and lately the team has gained a lot of attention thanks to its work on the Silent Hill 2 remake. The studio says that the idea is to merge their strong skills in psychological storytelling with the hopeful and exploratory vibe of Star Trek.
