There is news from Capcom regarding their upcoming remake of the popular survival horror series known as Resident Evil. The new game titled Resident Evil Veronica is a remake of the classic survival horror game that was released in 2000 and known as Resident Evil Code: Veronica. Resident Evil Veronica is scheduled to come out on Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027 after being revealed during Summer Game Fest 2026. The game is created using the Capcom’s RE Engine.

Claire Redfield is back at the center of the story, carrying on her search for her brother Chris after the traumatic events in Raccoon City. Following an enquiry, she goes to France, only to be captured by Umbrella agents and whisked to the infamous Rockfort Island. Fighting off zombies and unraveling the mysteries of the island, Claire will face a new outbreak of the biological threat in one of the most unforgettable episodes of the series.
